Meaningful Use

Our customers have collected over $10,418,250 to date in payments under the EHR Incentive Programs. But “meaningful use” is so much more than the incentive programs. Meaningful Use of certified electronic health record technology is required for your behavioral health and human services agency’s participation in the emerging models of this post-healthcare reform world:

  • Outcomes, Quality Measurement and Utilization Management
  • Interoperability and HIE
  • Integrated/Coordinated Care: including health homes, ACOs, primary care integration
  • Electronic PHI Security Rules, Practices and Processes
  • Healthcare Reform: including pay for performance

Our goal is to work together with behavioral health and human services providers to help them fully understand the intention and application of the rules of eligibility so they can register and attest to Meaningful Use of electronic health records, receive the applicable incentive payments, and fully participate in the emerging future of healthcare. To that end, we have created Meaningful Use For Behavioral Health, an online resource for behavioral health professionals seeking advice, guidance, and information on the incentive programs and beyond. Get answers to frequently asked questions, visualize your path to payment, and watch videos and attend webinars on how Meaningful Use is the key to thriving in this new era of healthcare.

“I want to thank you for such a clear, organized and informative webinar on meaningful use. I really appreciate the technical knowledge about audits, rules and contractual relationships. It is an area with daunting complexity, and plenty of ambiguity and confusion, too. I look forward to more training opportunities.”
- Stephen Allan, Ph.D., Executive Director, Options Counseling Services of Oregon, Inc.

Qualifacts provides more than software to our customers. The project manager who led the original CareLogic certification efforts continues to oversee the evolution of the product while providing guidance and assistance to our customers in the identification of their Eligible Professionals, the registration and attestation for incentives, and training on how they will implement and calculate the measurements required.
