Blue Earth County Mental Health Services, the first member of a two-agency EHR collaboration, has gone live on CareLogic Enterprise! Blue Earth County MHS is a division of the county public health department, with offices in Mankato, Minnesota. Blue Earth and Freeborn Counties formed the South Central Community Based Initiative in 2010 to collaboratively select and implement an electronic health record for their local health departments’ mental health services.
By joining forces, the two departments were able to reduce the cost and risk of the implementation while leveraging their combined user count for lower subscription pricing. Blue Earth has gone live on the system after a six month implementation and Freeborn County is scheduled to follow in two weeks.
